CHROMEBOOK TIPS AND TRICKS

Want Zoom to work more smoothly?

Close tabs you aren't using.  Every open tabs uses memory and processor resources.  Too many open tabs will slow everything down. This is a Chromebook, NOT a high end laptop. It can only do so much at once.

Make sure your Chromebook is up to date with the most current version of the OS.  Think about it, updates are designed to improve performance and fix glitches.

Keep your charger at home and label it. A piece of masking tape with your name and Mullen CB charger written on it is fine. Most homes have LOTS of different chargers that all look similar. If you bring your unlabeled charger to school and forget to take it home you may never see it again. Also, you will have to buy a replacement and that's no fun.

CHROMEBOOKS CARE

Keep your Chromebook safe by keeping it in it's case at all times.

Charge your Chromebook every night.

Keeping it clean keeps you healthy! Wipe the keyboard and screen with an anti bacterial wipe and then dry it off.

Think about it, the common cold, flu season and the ever present COVID-19.. so keep it clean!

Try very hard not to drop it, throw it, punch the screen, leave it on the floor where it can be stepped on or on the sofa where someone can sit on it. Also, do not try and take it apart. Please. We will find out and you'll get fined.

We all eat and drink while working, but the Chromebook is NOT waterproof.
